René Lezard speeds up store merchandising with Mockshop planograms Prestigious German fashion brand René Lezard is opening stores in Germany and aborad. To ensure that the new stores correctly reflect the high-end and high-quality reputation of the brand, René Lezard has selected Visual Retailing solutions to optimize its sales space. Using Visual Retailing’s innovative Mockshop solution, René Lezard can model shops of any size in half the time it took with their previous in-house solution. In addition, the company is implementing Visual Retailing’s SampleRoom, a graphical product database that enables users to optimize the presentation of coordinated product ranges. Having recently opened new stores in Beijing and Moscow, René Lezard is continuing the internationalization of its brand with further shops and franchises in Europe. In the light of its geographic spread, the company was looking for an easy-to-use yet powerful solution that would centralize its retail store planning and optimize its merchandising. Another of the company’s top priorities was that the selected solution should integrate with its FUTURA system, an ERP application tailored to lifestyle retail companies. Following an evaluation of multiple vendors, René Lezard chose Visual Retailing’s Mockshop and SampleRoom products for their breadth of functionality. “We heard about Visual Retailing’s solutions during the product research phase. When we tested them alongside competitive solutions, we were very impressed,” comments Jan Mangold, Retail Director at RENÉ LEZARD. “The evaluation has shown that Mockshop and SampleRoom make it quick and easy for us to produce planograms with merchandise and store layouts that really drive sales. This will make the whole planning phase much faster and accelerate execution of our plans on the shop floor.” As the solutions have an open data interface, René Lezard will easily be able to integrate them with their FUTURA system. This seamless connectivity further enhances productivity and simplifies enterprise-wide communications. To manage the images of its products, René Lezard is also planning to implement Visual Retailing’s Photostudio. With this photo studio, René Lezard will be able to shoot 200-300 collection items per day, which will be automatically optimized and freestanding from the background. “Alongside the team’s proven domain expertise in fashion retailing, one of the functions that clinched the deal for Visual Retailing was the intelligent clothes fixtures,” adds René Lezard’s Jan Mangold. This feature is available as standard within Mockshop and enables users to simply drag and drop an image of the item to a fixture. The clothes are automatically placed on hangers if they are positioned on a rail, or fold themselves up when placed on a shelf or table. As a result, teams can produce different storyboards to suit their business goals more quickly. They can also send a more realistic image to shop floor staff, making it simpler for them to accurately merchandise the store in accordance with head office plans. |
