Who's using Visual Retailing software? |
Visual Retailing products are used by hundreds of clients in 20 different countries. Ranging from $multi-billion retailers and global brands, to small manufacturers and retailers with 10 or more stores. Retailers of all sizes use Mockshop to improve their shop floor communications. Having produced planograms the hard way using CAD tools, Dillard's, the USA department store chain, evaulated all the Visual Merchandising systems available on the market. Dillard's selected Mockshop because;
Since installing Mockshop in 2004 Dillard's have increased their number of users by 300% and produce more than 600 planograms per month. They have found that the visual planograms produced by Mockshop dramatically reduces the time it takes to layout and merchandise the store. Shop floor staff often missinterpret merchandising directives that are created in the traditional manner of; photographing an actual store and then adding notes and instructions. This method leaves too much open to interpretion. Mockshop's crystal clear planograms show exactly where fixtures, merchandise and graphics are to be placed. This clarity and accuracy has reduced the time it takes to execute on the shop floor by more than 50%. Mockshop's high level of automation in planogram production has also led to most of our clients being able to issue store grade specific directives. Once again this helps the shop floor staff enormously as the planograms are specific to their space instead of the old "one size fits all" document that demands interpretation. Retailers are using Sampleroom to help add quality and balance to their product ranges. Sampleroom's visual database has meant that the buyers and merchandisers can now see their entire range at any time. The easy to use tools provide an excellent platform for collating and maintaining product information without the constraints of the merchandising "system" (Or straight jacket as many call them.) The ability to analyse ranges visually and produce storyboards in minutes has meant that buyers and merchandisers no longer need to "grab a geek" to get a digital storyboard produced. Sampleroom's visual reporting tool is also hard at work with both brands and retailers. O'Neill and Garcia are two examples of clients who have slashed Range book production down from weeks to days using this very simple but very powerful tool. Brands and wholesalers are using Sampleroom and Mockshop as sell-in and sell-through tools. At market week they now present their ranges complete with storyboards, tailored range catalogues and interactive virtual reality presentations of the in-store offer. At the end of the meeting, the retail client goes home happy with a custom catalogue, storyboards and space graded planograms. O'Neill have taken this a step further and have provided all of their European franchise partners with on-line access to the Sampleroom database. It is clear from all of our clients that "visual" is becoming increasingly more important to their business processes. In virtually all cases, our clients had tried to create a solution using standard software packages such as PhotoShop, Illustrator, AutoCAD and 3DStudio. Invariably these tools left them frustrated because only a few members of the team could use them and, as a result, the new "system" had simply created a new creative bottleneck. The Visual Retailing suite has been specifically designed to address the business processes and skills of the fashion industry. That is why clients such as O'Neill can happily state that they have enjoyed a 2,000% productivity increase. |
