vrSoftware Announces 30% Visual Retailing Software Growth in 2010/11 Fiscal Year
'Visual Retailing' Software Supports and Enables Latest Retail Industry Change
Boroughbridge, England, Aug 2, 2011. vrSoftware™, the market leading provider of "Visual Retailing" software solutions, today announced 2010/2011 fiscal year on year revenue growth of 30% (with 20% pre-tax profit) and that its software is now licensed to 200 major retail chains and brands. "Visual Retailing" is the market for retail industry visual planning and communication tools including those supplied by vrSoftware which claims market leadership with its "vrSoftware Mockshop®" for visual merchandising and " vrSoftware Sampleroom™" for range visualization. vrSoftware solutions are delivered by a growing number, currently 25 in 15 countries, of vrSoftware Authorized Distributors, Solution Providers and Associates who provide local expert implementation and support services.
"This revenue increase illustrates that, even through the tough economic climate of last year, retailers and brands continued driving change to improve their store designs, merchandising and staff productivity by utilizing our visual retailing software solutions and the expertise of our Solution Providers. For example customers we've welcomed or expanded with in fiscal year 2010/2011 include; Adidas, American Clothing, Bench, M&S Mode, Madura Garments, Go Outdoors, Crocs, sOliver, Kaufhof, Peek & Cloppenberg, Perry Ellis, Nike, Rockport, Macys, Asics, Bench, Target Pty. and more. Our initial focus was the Fashion sector but we can also claim market leadership in the Sportswear sector as 100% of the global sportswear brands (e.g. Adidas, Asics, Umbro, Nike, Reebok, etc.) are now using Mockshop", said Colin Liversedge, CEO/MD, vrSoftware.
"We're delighted with last year's progress, but more importantly now looking forward it is clear that the Retail Industry is in flux. Competition from the pure internet players means that the in-store experience can no longer be left to chance or managed by the inexperienced. "Retail theatre" is increasingly the direction for retailers and 'Visual Retailing' Software is both a key enabler and management tool. For example, using vrSoftware Mockshop, head office teams can really plan the retail experience by collaboratively developing store layouts. Mockshop gives them the ability to submerse themselves in the store model, plan the detail whilst being able to visualise the experience through the eyes of the shopper. There are no two ways about it, if retailers don't react and start planning the "Customer vision", it's either going to kill them or cost them a ton of cash closing stores and laying off staff."
"To the credit of our growing channel of Authorized Distributors, Solution Providers and Associates 2010/2011 was vrSoftware's 7th consecutive year of growth and our international channel expansion reached many new countries e.g. India and Australia. Our channel partners are both local to their customers and contribute their in-depth and diverse range of retail experience and expertise to truly know and understand their customers businesses and needs as they implement and customize the software solutions."
